Once we learned how to manage the heating, as the ASHP is not as responsive as a traditional gas boiler, we have been very pleased with the system. We very seldom have to change the zonal thermostats to adjust the temperature. Both water and heat systems are working well. Although it’s early days, the monthly costs for heating and hot water are marginally less than before but we expect the costs to reduce as we hit the late Spring and Summer. Since the ASHP installation, we have had solar PV installed and the electric consumption has reduced significantly such that we’re now paying less than what we used to pay for electricity. We remain very pleased with our decision to move towards ASHP and Solar PV.
